February 19, 2019

I’m sitting cross-legged, laptop perched on my lap.

I should write a slice-of-life.  I loved reconnecting with writing last March.  It’s almost March again.  Now’s the time to get back in practice.

I click on the email that takes me to other slicers’ posts, and decide to comment on a few of them first.  Reading other slices should get me in the right frame of mind….so I click on the first three, and then the next one, because it sounds interesting–secret garden in Paris!– and then the next one–weddings and funerals!– and then the next one… and then the next one… until I have ten tabs open.

Maybe I should just be a commenter tonight.  It’s almost time for bed.

Randy is reading on his computer, kitty-corner to mine.  “It’s getting late,” he says.

I look over and smile at his back, admiring his lines, then lean forward to caress his neck.  Maybe I should skip writing tonight.  I could start next week.  I could start in March.

I open the tab for my blog.  Maybe I should at least try.
